Beyond that, here are a few practices we highly recommend:


Do it intentionally. Take some time before you arrive on the line to stretch your body, take a bath, read a prayer, or do a little pranayama. (Now... do you have to? No way, if you arrive on the line, straight from an argument with your boss, and as stressed as a knuckle-sandwich, we'll take you that way, too).

LAY DOWN. Lay down BEFORE you call in. Get yourself set up exactly the way you want to be before you even dial. Some ideas about this (to get you thinking): Set an oil diffuser to release some lavender, jasmine, or blue tansy, or set some incense to burn. Placing a pillow underneath your knees will relieve stress and tension in your lower back and placing a pillow under your shoulder blades will support you in opening up your chest and heart.

Set up Zoom. Make sure you have Zoom set up and ready to go on the device you want to use before 8:55 pm on the day of these meditations. If it's not already set up on your device, it can take a little bit of time and isn't something you'll want to deal with right before the event.
